William "Bill" Habig

William "Bill" David Habig, 78, of Clarington, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.  He was born January 22, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a son of the late Lawrence and Syvilla (Rose) Habig.

Bill was retired from the former Ormet as a machinist in Hannibal, Ohio.  He loved to spend time fishing, hunting, gardening, spending time with special friends, especially with his wife of 52 years, Jaqueline Habig.

In addition to his parents, Bill  was preceded in death by siblings; James Habig, Syvilla Habig, Roland Habig, Charles K. Habig, Lawrence Habig, Richard Habig, Gertrude O’Conner, Alma Habig, Emma Billingsly, Anna Billingsly, and Mary Henry.

Left to cherish Bill’s memory are siblings Robert Habig, Thomas Habig , Nancy Yoder; mother-In-law, Hazel Morrison; multiple sisters-In-law; special friends, Roger (Jen) Abbott, Brad (Brenda) Fisher, Jimmy (Judy) Clark, Mike (Debbie) Tinley, and Dave Graham; also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 23 from 11 am until the time of the funeral service at 1 pm at Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville.  Burial will follow at Clarington Cemetery.
